The Visa Application Process
Initial Vetting
The team at Ratchaburi Visa Service makes it as easy as possible for you to get the visa you need.
First, we will talk with you via chat or telephone and request a photocopy of your passport. This lets us perform an initial brief vetting so we can check you’re eligible for an education visa.
We WILL NOT ask you to send us your passport and WILL NOT ask for any funds at this stage.

Eligibility
Eligibility depends on the type of visa your are applying for. Just click here for a table of requirements for each visa type.
While we can guide you through the process, we are bound by Thai law, so you must meet the legal requirements to be successful.
If you are unsure, get in touch, and we will let you know if we can help.
Travel to Ratchaburi
To make the application, you will need to travel to Ratchaburi to meet with us. Buses are available from Bangkok, and the journey is usually about 3 hours, depending on traffic. We will meet with you at the school and ensure you have all the required documents.
While we will do as much of the work as possible, you will need to complete and sign some of these documents, which are all in English. You are welcome to bring somebody with you if it makes you feel more comfortable.

Police Clearance Certificate
Dependong in which visa you are getting, part of the process involves a visit to the Ratchaburi police station. This is for a brief check to ensure you have no criminal record.
If you have no police record in Thailand, which is necessary to be legible for the education visa, you will be given a (Police Clearance Certificate).
This part of the process will usually take up to 1 hour, although it can be longer depending on how busy they are.
Visit Ratchaburi Immigration
The next stage is to visit the Ratchaburi Immigration office in person.
Here, you will submit all of your documentation along with your passport for processing. We will accompany you and continue to guide you throughout the process.
The application process will often be completed - and you will be granted your visa - on the same day. However, this depends on how busy the office is so you should be prepared for delays.
In some cases you might need to return at a later date, although you can keep your passport with you.

90 Day Reporting and Visa Renewal

Most visa types require you to report to immigration every 90 days. It is a straightforward process and we will ne happy to help if needed.
Your visa will also expire eventually, usually 1 year after it has been granted. When your visa does expire we will be more than happy to help you through the process again.
Circumstances can change so, in some cases, you will need to apply for a different type of visa to your previous one.
Regardless, we will again guide you throughout the process to extend your stay in the country again. We will be delighted to be your long-term visa guide throughout your stay in Thailand.
